Overview
Quiet Practice is a personal journaling and mindfulness app. Your privacy is a core part of how it is built. All journal entries, mood data, ritual progress, and letters to your future self are stored exclusively on your device. None of this data is transmitted to any server or third party.
What Data We Collect
Data That Stays On Your Device (Never Transmitted)
The following data is created and stored locally in your app and never leaves your device:
- Journal entries — written reflections from daily prompts
- Ritual entries — journal entries created during guided ritual practices
- Mood Mosaic data — daily mood color selections and labels
- Letters to Future Self — sealed letters and their scheduled delivery dates
- App settings — theme preferences, selected atmosphere, notification preferences
We have no access to any of this content. It exists only on your device.
Data Collected via Third-Party Services
RevenueCat (In-App Purchases)
Quiet Practice uses RevenueCat to process in-app purchase subscriptions and lifetime access. RevenueCat may collect:
- Purchase history — transaction IDs, product identifiers, purchase dates
- Anonymous device identifier — a randomly generated ID used to track entitlements (not linked to your name or email)
- App interaction data — entitlement status checks
This data is used solely to verify and restore your purchase. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for full details.
Apple / StoreKit
All payment processing is handled by Apple. Quiet Practice never receives your payment details. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all transaction data.
Data We Do Not Collect
- No name, email address, or account is required or collected
- No location data
- No contact list or calendar access
- No camera or microphone access
- No advertising identifiers
- No analytics or crash reporting SDKs
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as described above for purchase processing via RevenueCat and Apple.
Data Retention and Deletion
All app data is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the app. We have no copy of your data and cannot retrieve or delete it on your behalf.
Children's Privacy
Quiet Practice is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
